About plant

During the Great Patriotic War (Russian for WWII) the People's Comissariat of Aviation Industry issued Order 198 on April 8, 1943 providing for a state-owned Plant 140 to be formed, which was designated the Mayak machine building plant in 1963.

The JSC Mayak machine building plant has evolved to become a most up-to-date enterprise now, which is engaged into mass-production of electrical and technical equipment for the air industry/

The potential and capabilities of Mayak allow it to put in production most advanced electrical accessories for aircraft, and continue to expand the model line of its products.

Mayak's products are introduced in the following fixed-wing aircraft:

  • MiG-21-93, MiG-23, MiG-25, MiG-27, Mig-29, MiG-31
  • Su-17 (Su-22), Su-24, Su-25, Su-27, Su-30, Su-33
  • An-12, An-24, An-26, An-30
  • Il-18, Il-62, Il-76, Il-86
  • Tu-134, Tu-154
  • Yak-40, Yak-42
  • Be-200, Be-200ChS
  • L-39

And rotary-wing aircraft: Mi-8, Mi-17
